Gemini Debuts Onchain Dashboard and Wallet With DeFi and Dapp Support

Crypto exchange Gemini announced on Aug. 14 the release of Gemini Wallet, a self-custody smart wallet engineered to streamline onchain interactions for both everyday crypto users and developers. The wallet is accompanied by the Gemini Onchain Dashboard, a browser-based hub that allows users to view holdings, explore decentralized applications, and earn returns through DeFi vaults. Eric Kuhn, head of onchain at Gemini, stated:

Today, we launched the Gemini Wallet, a self-custody wallet designed for crypto users and developers alike.

“Whether you’re a retail investor looking for a secure, portable gateway to Web3, or a developer seeking an SDK kit to embed the wallet directly into your dapp, the Gemini Wallet brings flexibility, ease of use, and powerful security to onchain access,” he added.

With Gemini Wallet, users can avoid downloading separate apps or managing secret recovery phrases. Instead, passkey technology allows for seamless onboarding using a single tap, integrated across mobile and desktop platforms. The wallet supports both embedded and portable use cases—eliminating the need to choose between convenience and continuity.

Gemini has also partnered with networks including Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, and Base to sponsor gas fees and reduce transaction costs during the initial rollout. Early adopters receive a free ENS subdomain and access to onchain tools through a transparent dashboard at onchain.gemini.com.

The crypto exchange’s new product is also backed by a range of partnerships aimed at boosting user experience and safety. Blockaid contributes security infrastructure to guard against scams, while Walletconnect ensures compatibility across devices. Bungee enables efficient cross-chain token swaps, and Morpho allows users to deposit assets into curated DeFi vaults with real-time access and withdrawal. These integrations, alongside full Gemini exchange connectivity later this year, aim to eliminate legacy barriers and accelerate crypto adoption worldwide.
